Newgrange Valley of the Kings Tour

Explore Ireland's most mystical & historic locations, the Boyne Valley home of ancient burial grounds, battlefields of great kings and celtic myths and legends.

First you will be taken on a guided tour of the actual tomb of Newgrange with guaranteed entry inside the tomb. The UNESCO world heritage site is one of the oldest and largest Neolithic burial chambers in Europe predating the Egyptian pyramids! After lunch* the tour continues to Monasterboice to see some fine examples of Irish high crosses. On the return journey your tour passes the Boyne Valley, site of the famous Battle of Boyne.

  • Visit 1: Newgrange
    - A visit to the Newgrange Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre designed to interpret the rich archaeological heritage of the Boyne Valley
    - Guided tour inside the tomb at Newgrange
    - Explore the oldest and largest Neolithic burial chamber in Europe (3,200BC)
    - Time for lunch at the Newgrange Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre

  • Visit 2: Monasterboice
    - Visit the enchanting Monasterboice
    - See some fine examples of Ireland’s high crosses
    - See the site of the Battle of the Boyne at the Boyne Valley
